Helping Families Access a St. Mary’s Education
We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to grow in faith, character, and academic excellence—regardless of financial circumstances. While St. Mary’s does not offer direct financial aid, we are proud to partner with parent-choice programs offered through the state of Alabama that make a Catholic education more affordable for families.
Below, you’ll find the resources and application links you need to get started.
State-Funded Tuition Assistance Programs
1. The CHOOSE Act
The CHOOSE Act is Alabama’s newest education savings account program that allows qualifying families to direct state funds toward tuition at approved nonpublic schools.
2. Alabama Opportunity Scholarship Fund (AOSF)
AOSF offers needs-based scholarships to eligible families for tuition and fees at participating nonpublic schools like St. Mary’s.
HOW TO APPLY:
To apply for either the CHOOSE Act or the Alabama Opportunity Scholarship Fund, families must first complete a FACTS Financial Aid Application.
→ [Start Your FACTS Application]
This is a required step in determining eligibility for both programs. If you have questions or need help with the application process, please don’t hesitate to contact our office—we’re happy to assist.
Final Note:
Financial aid decisions are made by the administering organizations, not by St. Mary’s Catholic School. However, we are here to guide and support your family through the process.
